IntraLaunch can be used with Netscape but requires an ActiveX plugin. IntraLaunch has been tested
and works with the free plugin from Esker.
Each workstation must first view the sample site using Internet Explorer to make sure all
included support files
are installed and everything works before Netscape menus will work. This is because the Esker plugin does not have any CAB
installation support so all files must already be present and installed. IntraLaunch.OCX referenced by Esker can be found in
Downloaded Program Files folder under the Windows directory.
- Esker Plugin: Esker ActiveX plugin. Currently works with
IntraLaunch under Netscape 4. Netscape 6 may also work with another version
of the esker plugin. This is fully
scriptable allowing for text links, drop down boxes, etc. can all open documents and applications under Netscape now just
like IE. (See below)
Netscape 4.X: Download
Netscape 6.X: Download
Netscape 7.0X: Download
Netscape 7.1X: Download
Warning: The Esker plugin is in no way supported by Particle Software, and we cannot guarantee its operation
in any way.

Using the Esker Plugin
Currently only the Esker plugin has been tested by Particle Software under Netscape 4.x and
proven successful. It should also work under Netscape 6. How to make it work is
demonstrated below. Full documentation on the Esker plugin is also available.
To make IntraLaunch work with the Esker plugin, follow the steps below.
The following will at least get IntraLaunch working under Netscape. Once working all the advanced features (down down boxes, text links, animated gif's, etc.)
demonstrated with IE in the sample site
should be possible under Netscape also.
- Install IntraLaunch on the workstation. This can be done by simply viewing the sample site included with the archive using Internet Explorer. This must be done
because the plugin does not have installation support. Viewing the sample site will install and register IntraLaunch with the local workstation.
- Download and install the plugin in your Netscape plugins directory.
Usually in (Netscape install directory)\Program\Plugins for Netscape 4. Simply copy
the DLL into this directory and restart Netscape.
- View this sample HTML file under Netscape assuming
the IntraLaunch archive was extracted to c:\IntraLaunch.
