Below lists several pages with useful information, examples and tips that might help you in your evaluation or implementation of IntraLaunch. If you have any technical questions please contact support.

  • New This workaround can be used to fix the requirement of having to click each IntraLaunch object before it would work after installing one or more Microsoft updates.

  • Feature list show a point by point list of all of IntraLaunch's capabilities.

  • Macro listings give all available extended execution support for internal Windows functions such as opening the Printers Folder, Control Panel, Logging Off, etc.

  • Variable substitution allows IntraLaunch to automatically replace variables with critical system paths for better control over workstation differences.

  • Basic object example. There are two ways to use IntraLaunch; either as basic <object>'s embedded throughout an HTML page, or accessed through Javascript.

  • Scripted object example. There are two ways to use IntraLaunch: either as basic <object>'s embedded throughout an HTML page, or accessed through Javascript. The scripted way is more flexible and recommended if many links are required.

  • FindApp macro allows IntraLaunch to automatically detect installed applications, determine the full path, and execute the application.

  • Parameter summary shows all parameters recognized by IntraLaunch and provides a brief description of each. A PDF version of the summary is also available.

  • Drive mapping shows how you can map or disconnect drive shares with IntraLaunch.

  • CD-Example is taken from the ChangeLog. It shows the requirements for building an IntraLaunch object that is drive letter-independent and used with CD-Rom menus.

  • Error control allows you to do one of two things if IntraLaunch fails to execute the assigned application or task.

  • Multiple programs can be executed at the same time. The option of running a second program, with a delay/pause after the first one finishes, is available. One single IntraLaunch object can also dynamically run multiple programs.

  • Empty the recycling bin. Details on how to use this macro can be found here.

  • Automatically execute an application when a web page loads using Onload. Also uses the HIDE option for Display to make it hidden from the task list.

  • Logging allows you to keep track of who is running what application and when. Record the date, time, success, application, username and machine name to a custom log file.

  • Run as a different user. With Windows2000 and higher versions, IntraLaunch 4.6 will allow you to execute the program, specified in Run, under a different user.

  • Recalling a running application prevents multiple instances of a program from being executed.

  • Minimize All running programs to display the desktop, analogous to the task bar button.

  • Close a running application.

  • Open .LNK files. This work-around solves the difficulty some workstations have in opening .LNK files

  • File Manager feature. Open a listing of files for a Javascript based file manager or to fill a form object such as a multi-select with a listing of files.

  • OnTop allows the program you are trying to execute to remain visible, even when inactive.

  • Check if the workstation is online.

  • Get Registry Key allows you to obtain or confirm the existence of any registry key.

  • Translucent gives your executed program a translucent appearance.

  • Create a shortcut at a specified location.

  • Pass switches to IntraLaunch from a form's textbox, or dynamically change what you want to run on the fly.

  • Double quotes can be used within the run parameters (RunParms) by following this example.

  • Passwords can be applied to protect access to any link.

  • Changelog shows all changes, additions and bug fixes since the original release, as well as small code examples.

  • Sample online menu shows IntraLaunch in action without having to download the trial archive.

  • Misc. files that apply to IntraLaunch, such as ActiveX Control registration programs. Sound bites are available for application launching sound events.

  • Scriptable functions are available with IntraLaunch for added programming functionality.

  • Netscape support page shows what is required to implement IntraLaunch under Netscape and gives examples.

  • Uninstall IntraLaunch and remove it completely from the computer and the registry.
